Loin des raffinements baroques de Venise et des défilés spectaculaires des écoles de samba de Rio, à Dunkerque et dans les communes alentours, en Février et en Mars, c'est carnaval : faux-seins, porte-jarretelles et bas résilles, folie collective et chansons hurlées à tue-tête... Et, au-delà de la gaieté ambiante, sous les masques et les maquillages colorés, en filigrane, la réalité sociale de la région Nord.
